The Atlas includes 80 thematic maps, and is divided into 6 map assembling units, namely, geographic environment, physio-chemical properties of sediments and water, hydrobiont in lake, evaluation of water quality and nutrient status, plan and programme on prevention and cure of water pollution for the Taihu Lake. The Atlas is full and accurate in data and rich in content, which completely accords with the purpose of the Atlas. Thus it is the first Atlas on lake ecological environment at home and even abroad.
