The present volume contains two parts. The first part includes a comprehensive survey of the historical review, morphology and structure, system and status of classification, autobiology, distribution and ecology, analysis of fauna, fossil notes and economic significance of chaetognaths. Emphasis is given to the discussion of the distribution and ecology so that morphological variation, behavior adaptation and biological diversity can better be understood.
The second part provides a systematic account of the Sagittoidea of China. A total of 41 species belong to 6 genera in 5 families of 2 orders.
