【Introduction】

   Beihai Park is located in the center of downtown Beijing. To its south is Zhongnanhai Lakes, to its north is Shishahai Lake, to its east is Jingshan Park and not far to its southeast is the Palace Museum. Of the 68.2 hectares of the park water surface takes up 38.9 hectares. Beihai Park is acclaimed as the " First Imperial garden in the world".Its construction displays the highest level of gardening art in ancient China. Today the public park is a famous tourist attraction for its luxuriant hills, clear water and ancient buildings.
