【Introduction】

   The book is a treatise on Camellia sasanquan first published in China. The systematic introduction and discussion are made of its cultural history, morphological and biological characteristics, classification, culture and the propagation including the breeding and development of new varieties, within emphasis on 122 sasanquan cultivars. The pests and diseases control are introduced as well. The data on sasanquan adaptability are also demonstrated, and more than 260 pictures are illustrated in the book.
The organization of the book makes its suitable for either use in the horticulturists consisted of gardeners and sasanquan lovers, or reference to the teachers and students in senior agricultural and forestry courses.
