【Introduction】

There are two parts in this book. Introduction deals with the concept, history, general principle, techniques and method of tree introduction. It also had summarized the main experience of tree introduction in China. Experience with individual species included 200 species. Each exotic species included morphology, history of introduction, natural range (climate, soil, elevation), biological characteristics, adaptation, tree improvement, flowering and fruiting, seed collection, raising seedling, vegetative propagation, planting, pest and insect, and utilization.
