The Siphonaptera of Hubei Province and Adjacent Area (Areas along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River),This book first puts forward the idea that the Siphonaptera distributed in the two mayor mountains of west Hubei Province (Daba Mountain and east of Wuling Mountain)were migrated and spread through the three geographical channels with the hosts during the long evolution process This book also presents the relationship between Siphonaptera and diseases, survey method of Siphonaptera and some operating techniques including specimen making, specimen tabletting and preservation.117 species or subspecies (including one new species and one nomen novum found in this book)subordinated to 9 families, 38 genera and 14 subgenera are recorded in the subchapters. 79 species or subspecies subordinated to 34 genera are distributed in Hubei Province, 38 species or subspecies distributed in adjacent regions are subordinated to the remanent 4 genera: Tunga, Echidnophaga, Stivalius, Oropsylla
