The Flora is arrnged phylogenetically and basically follows the same sequence of the families treated in Flora Bryophytarum Sinicorum, which adopts a modified brotherus' system. Nevertheless, the circumscription of some families will reflect our present understanding of the groups. Genera and species are arranged alphabetically for ease of use. Volume 1 of the series will treat the families sphagnaceae, andreaeaceae, Archidiaceae, Ditrichaceae, Bryoxiphiaceae, Seligeraceae, Dicranaceae, and the Leucobryaceae. Volume 2 will follow afterward, It will treat the Fissidentaceae, Calymperaceae, Enclyptaceae, Pottiacae, and Ptychomitriaceae. future volumes will be published more or less in accordance with the publishing schedule of the Flora Bryophytatum sinicorum.
