This work is based on acollection of more than 40,000 species of 238 samplings from desert and semideserts in 224 counties and cities, northwest China. Taxonomic description. The common names of Tenebrionidea in Chinese, English, French, Russian and Japanese are listed. Totally 276 species and subspecies belonging to 3 subfamilies, 22 tribes and 57 genera of darkling beetles are described. Key to different taxa are provided.
