Scale insects are economically important pests on fruit trees, ornament trees, flowers and forest trees. It is difficult to control scale insects as they are covered with shell or wax. Parasitic wasps of scale insects are the parasitoids which live on scale insects. Among the successful examples of biological control, the most of them are those introducing parasitic wasps to control scale insects. Therefore, parasitic wasps are of important position in natural and biological control of insect pests. Parasitic wasps on scale insects are insects of Chalcidoidea, Hymenoptera. Including mainly encyrtidae, Aphelinidae, and with some species of Eulophidae, Pteromalidae, Signiphoridae and Eupelmidae. The species of the wasps are the primary parasitoids on Coccoidea, Homoptera, a few of them are secondary parasitoids on scale insects. This research includes 295 species of parasitoids collected from different provinces of China. In which there are 63 genera, 188 species of Encyrtidae, 12 genera, 92 species of Aphelinidae, 2 genera 5 species of Eulophidae, 4 genera, 5 species of Pteromalidae, 2 genera 4 species of Signiphoridae and 1 genus 1 species of Eupelmidae.
