Scientific data of forestry are data and materials got and accumulated through scientific research , scientific experiment, instrument surveys, and field observation etc. Such data and materials are invaluable scientific achievements, which are ascribed to diligent labor of successive forest scientists. The complication of this book aims at boosting the sharing and application of the scientific data of forestry. The book brings forward a phase of the result of the pilot work for sharing scientific data of forestry, and is a summary of collection and integration work of scientific data of forestry , which is from the Chinese Academy of Forestry over 2 years. This book must get a favorable reception from scientists and profession of forestry
This book introduces the dataset of forest science in the fields of forest resources, monitoring of forest ecological environment, forest disasters, key ecological projects of forestry, and basic information of forest science and technology. It is one of important technical achievements obtained by the project “the Experiment Unit for Sharing Data of Forestry” from “ the Project of Sharing of Scientific Data” of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the summing-up of the construction work of forestry database, and of the work of the experiment unit for data sharing over two years
This book has integrated achievements of database construction work of multiple national scientific/technical plans and projects, including the basic scientific/technical project “he Data Collection of Forest Resources and Construction of Information Network System” and other projects that are undertaken by the Ministry of Science and Technology and by many academic institutions of national level. The intention to compile the book is to advance the sharing of scientific data of forestry. It will provide sharing of scientific data of forestry to scientific/technical institutions and to colleges related to forestry and other fields concerned, as well as to government departments and the public, and it will be of reference value for information construction of forestry
