Based on editor’s accumulation of extensive literatures about the taxonomy of Staphylinidae and its related disciplines for years, Bibliography of the Staphylinidae of the World is compiled with repeatedly emendation by consulting international authoritative retrieval tools and some important catalogues of literatures. It includes scholars in the world who engaged in the classification of Staphylinidae and its related subjects along with their treatises and works from 1758-2005. besides, it lists the publication time, titles, sources, page numbers and etc.. The authors and works are respectively arranged in alphabetical order and in time sequence, meanwhile, all the sources of the works are uniformly put by their full names which will avoid the confusion on the abbreviation of publications’ and books’ titles cited by many other literature.
