由甲壳动物学会主办、中国科学院海洋研究所承办的“甲壳动物学会员代表大会暨学术年会”和第四届世界华人虾类养殖研讨会“分别于2005年11月2—4日和4—6日在青岛召开。甲壳动物学会会员代表大会暨学术年会共收到论文摘要105篇，涉及到形态学、分类学和系统学、生态学、行为和资源、养殖发育和病害、实验生物学等多个甲壳动物学研究领域。第四届世界华人虾类养殖研讨会共收到论文百余篇，内容涉及病原、宿主与环境的相互作用、养殖模式与技术疾病发生与防治、繁殖与发育、种苗与良种培育、营养与饲料、遗传与基因组学等方面。
