Field Guide to Fishes of the Mekong Delta is of value as a field guide to 363 of the most common fish species found in the Mekong Delta in Cambodia and Vietnam. The main purpose of this book is to serve as a practical guide for technicians, students and other researchers of fish in the water bodies of the Mekong Delta, but it will also be a welcome addition to libraries and personal collections as an authority on the unique species of this area. The book also provides as a record of the biological and ecological status of the river as we enter a period of change. The effects of these changes, both climate induced and as a result of development of the resources of the river, are hinted at in the excellent general introduction to this book.
