This book began with basic histology, and then emphasized organic histology. It is the first document to display the organic and systematic histology of Macaca Mulatta comprehensively and systematically, not only revealing the histological characters of Macaca Mulatta, but also incorporating histological, physiological, and functional data from other primates for detailed comparison. The whole book consists of six chapters on the basic histology of Macaca Mulatta, and 11 chapters on their organic and systematic histology; totaling two hundred thirty-seven thousands words in description, 372 color photomicrographs of histology, and 26 electric micrographs. This book would hopefully serve as a reference book for teachers, undergraduate and graduate students in histology and comparative medicine study, and the staff in the field of laboratory animals, as well as those working in veterinary histology, pathology, and pharmacology.
The content of this book is comprehensive and systematic, with rich text, clear photographs, and detailed descriptions. The histological photomicrographs are of high quality with Chinese-English figure legends.
