The work of “Fauna of Invertebrata from Liupan Mountain” is based on the resultsof organizing many Chinese specialists to have the field trips to Liupan Mountain during 2007 to 2009 and compiling their taxonomic achievements, as well as referring to the work by other contributors in the past. This book is divided into two parts, general account and systematic account. The general account includes nature profile of Liupan Mountain, taxonomic review of Invertebrata from Liupan Mountain, technique and method of expedition, faunal component and characteristics, biodiversity and distribution, resource and protected species, new discoveries. The systematic account includes hexapods, spiders and others of invertebrata 13 classes, 47 orders, 332 families, 3554 species, and each species is provided with citation, examined specimens and distribution, some with host or preyed subjects, In the end, the book is provided with the map of expedition, ecological photos and graphs, 33 in total, as well as the indexes of Chinese and scientific names.
This book is aimed to provide a reference for the workers who are engaged in nature conservation, agriculture and forestry, plant protection, plant quarantine, biodiversity, ecology of lands and so on.
