      Widely renowned as a fairyland, Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve is located in the northern part of Sichuan. In 1992, UNESCO declared it a world Heritage Site. The reserve encompasses an area of 65,000 hectares with the altitude varying from 2000 meters at the entrance to 4700 meters at its highest peak. Within it can be seen some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Four hundred million years ago,due to the repeated and continuous movements of the Indo-China and Yanshan mountains,this region gradually rose up and became part of the continent.
