The China-Japan International Conference
on Rheology was held in Beijing, China, on October 9-12, 1991. It was
co-sponsored by the Chinese Society of Rheology under CCS & CSTAM
and the Society of Rheology, Japan. More than 100 participants attended
this Conference. The proceedings contains 93 contributed papers by authors
from Japan, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Trinidad, Sweden, UK, USA,
USSR and China . They cover many aspects of rheology, namely, fundamental
theory, numerical method, fluid mechanics, polymer processing, industrial
rheology, solution and melt of polymers, suspensions, composites and solids,
rheometry and experimental methods, biorheology and others. These papers
represent many of the latest achievements in research, new ideas and methods,
and give a general picture of the recent developments of rheology in China
and Japan.
