This atlas is drawn by projection the latitudes and longitudes of origin places of accessions of each crop on map coordinate, using the Albers conic equal area projection and the data stored in Chinese Crop Germplasm Resources Information System (CGRIS). The contents of this atlas are bountiful, including the geographical distributions and the density distributions of germplasm resources of 84 crops of agricultural importance in China, which belong to eight categories, I. e. food crop, fibre plant, oil crop, vegetable, fruit tree, sugar and tobacco, tea and mulberry, pasture and green manure crop. A total of 272 maps are presented. The illustrations in both Chinese and English describe the origin and distribution characteristics of every kind of crop germplasm. This is the first atlas of geographical distribution of crop germlasm resources in China. Therefore, it is an important scientific reference to whoever want to understand comprehensively the origin evolution, classification and distribution of crop germplasm resources and crop diversity in China. It thus can be used as a reference by technicians, scientific researchers and teachers in fields of agriculture, economy, environmental protection, land use and meteorology etc.
