      Snake islands situated in the Bohai sea off the southern end of Liaodong Peninsula, Liaoning Province, Northeast China. The islet is well known for abundant in poisonous snakes- snake Island Pit-viper to the people at home and abroad.
The area of the islet is less than one km2 with an elevation 215 m only , but there exists several ten thousand snakes according to estimation.
