There are 9556 species of vascular plants, belonging to 1543 genera and 222 families in Qinghai-Tibet plateau, in which pteridophytes account for 44 familes, 116 genera and 572 species, the gymnosperms for 8 families, 17 genera and 85 species, and the angiosperms for 170 families, 1410 genera and 8939 species.
