 This symposium has accepted more than 80 papers on the subjects of structural engineering. The contents have classified into four parts, which are theoretical analyses, experimental studies, numerical methods and engineering applications. More than 50 papers belong to the some grants carried out by young people, which are supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other foundations. And these young researchers have taken great roles in accelerating the development of engineering structures.

The proceedings of the symposium are edited and published in order to spread and apply these research fruits, and make professional people beware of international development and accomplishments for structural engineering in recent years, who are engaged in civil engineering design, construction, research, teaching and learning in universities
