The Cloud Atlas of China is a collection of cloud pictures which will provide on important basis for cloud observation and cloud study for meteorologists.
Clouds are produced due to the condensation or sublimation of water vapour in the atmosphere. Clouds appear in various forms. They nto only reflect to a certain extent the present situation of air motion, but also indicate the tendency of weather changes. The Chinese people, over many years of productive practice, have accumulated rich experience in forecasting weather by the clouds. Chinese meteorologists have also made progress in the observation and study of clouds. This collection of cloud pictures is published with a view to helping the meteorologists improve their art in cloud observation and weather prediction.
