   China has a rich accumulation of historical materials about climate. The historical climatological study initiated by Zhu Kezhen has jieldedresuls highly evaluated by scientific communities both in China and abroad. Since the seventies, with joint effort the Chinese climatologists have reconstruction 120 dryness/wetness series in the past 500 years and other climatological series. This book attempts to give a summary to the above-mentioned works accomplished in 1970's in our country with emphasis on the 500 year dryness/wetness reconstruction. The results obtained in the eighties are not included.
