The book consists of six chapters:
1. General Survey;
2. Construction of Energy Industry;
3. Energy Production;
4. Energy Balance Table of China;
5. Final Energy Consumption by Industry;
6. Energy Balance Table by Region.
Additional information provided in the appendices include major energy
data for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Taiwan province,
energy data for other countries, consumption of major raw materials, explanatory
notes of main statistical indicators and conversion factors from physical
units to coal equivalent. As compared with the former two yearbooks, this
document has provided additional information on the final energy consumption
by industry, energy balance tables by region and non-commercial energy
consumption data. Annual statistical reports from the State Statistical
Bureau and the China Statistical Yearbook are the main data sources of
this document. However, the national data in this book does not include
that of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Taiwan province
and the region of Macao. Also, the data in the energy balance tables does
not cover non-commercial energy.
