There are some famous traditional cultivars such as Jinzui, Yinbian, Qilan, and Baimo. The are adoptable for indoor decoration, arrangement in public places, cutting flower and making green by planting. Cymbidiums are also very adaptable, though they are mainly growing in south China. The are being wider and wider introduced to everywhere in China, and even abroad. They can grow exuberantly and produce flowers year after year if enough attention is paid to winter protection.
