Rhododendron is one of the famous ornamental plants. There are more than 800 species of the Rhododendron genus, among which more than 500 species are grown in China. Its original habit covers Yunnan, Xizang (Tibet) , Sichuan provinces and the area bordering the northern part of Burma. The Chinese Rhododendron has long been known and transplanted all over the world, especially in western Europe and North America. Volume 1 and Volume 2 respectively include superb color photographs presenting about 100 species of Rhododendron genus, showing their forms and ecological environment. Literal descriptions of the form characteristics, the ecological environment, the habitat and economical use are given . Volume 3 include 105 species and varieties belong to 4 subgenera, 7sections and 24 subsections, which distributed in Xizang , Yunnan, Guangxi, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Hunan, hubei, Fujian and Guangdong provinces. There are 280 color photos and 105 distibution maps in the volume
