Fruit-Plant Monograph
Chinese Version
China Fruit-plant Monograph is a series, which was
compiled by specialist of China, who were organized by Institute of Fruit-plant,
Chinese Academy of Agriculture Science. This work consists of 13 Floras,
concern about 29 fruit-plants native to China,such as Cherry, Chestnut,
Chinese date, Hawthorn, Kiwifruit,Litchi, Orange, Peach, Pear, Plum, as
well as such fruit-tree introduced to China as Apple, Grape. Nine volumes
have been published.This work records the progress of fruit-plant researches
since 1949 in China, it mainly covers the economic value, utilization,
distribution localities, taxonomy, origin and evolution, biology characteristic,
propagation, culture process of fruit-plant, and describes most of the
varieties of fruit-plant with biology characteristic, specific feature,
utilization in culture and breeding. It is a useful work and helpful to
the people who major in production, researches and genetic resources preservation
of fruit-plant.
