【Introduction】
Hexigten Global Geopark lies within the border of Hexigten Banner, a territorial subdivision northwest of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Spanning across sub-humid, semi-arid and arid zones in longitudinal sequence, the geopark is present to be a joint area connecting Daxing’ anling Mountain Range, Yanshan Mountain Range and Hunshandak Sands. The unique geographic location and distinctive geological setting of the geopark has fostered a rich deposit of geological landscapes and a great diversity of ecosystems within its boundaries, making it a splendid integration of glacial vestiges, granite landforms, volcanic relics, hotsprings, deserts, grasslands, and so forth.
Granite landscape highlight the numerous geological heritage in Hexigten Global Geopark, where rounded hills along with precipitous heights generated out from either familiar or peculiar granite masses put in their appearances.
