The present book deals with the species of Molluscs found from Huanghai
and Bohai, China. The materials for studying are based on the collections
made by the Institute of Oceanography, Academia Sinica. Altogether 379
species belonging to 129 families are described. Among of them 9 belong
to the class Polyplacophora, 201 species belong to Gastropoda of which
118 prosobranchia, 82 Opisthobranchia and 1 Pulmonata, 2 species belong
to Scaphopoda, 153 species belong to Bivalvia and 14 species belong to
Cephalopoda. Notes of taxonomic character geographical and ecological
characteristics and usefulness of each species as well as the Families
and Class are given.
