Introduction:

Macrofungi of China is concerned with the majority of the known Chinese fungi which possess large or conspicuous fruitbodies. It contains 1701 species of basidiomycetes and ascomycetes from 298 genera belonging to 72 families in 21 orders which are of important scientific and economic value. Colored photographs showing gross morphology and niche, the most diagnostic geatures, inhabitation, and the known geographical distribution are provided for each species.
