The Family Ganodermataceae and other field mushrooms are interested in the
standpoint Prov, Guizhou in the economy of nature. One of their functions
is to aid in the breakdown of dead ` One of their functions is to aid in
the breakdown of dead organic material and to return the essential elements
to the soil. Some of the species are form association with the plant roots
that are termed mycorrhizae. Some fungi as a possible source of antibiotic
substances that might prove useful in medicine, and some are edible. Guizhou
is a Province of South western of China, where is rich in mycoresources
and Eco-bio-diversity, Two Chapters are included in this volume: Chapter
one, with a brief introduction to the mycological research history concerning
Guizhou, and three myco-distribution patterns from this area are divided,
e.g. Western Guizhou region, Eastern Guizhou region and Southern Guizhou
region. A myco-floristic discussion has been discussed also. Chapter two,
the main body of the text consists of the fungal species taxa arranged by
the epither regard of each species of genus, includes the basionym, literature
citation, synonymy and specimens discription, habitat, distribution information
and color photographic plates of each taxon are in distribution information
and color photographic plates of each taxon are included. The total number
of the Ganodermataceae and other fungal species of Guizhou with introduced
in this volume which amounts to over 309 taxa distributed among 111 genera.
