The number of species discrimininated in the present memoir are 29 in total, of which 10 are referred to known species, 3 to new species; whereas 9 have been provisionally compared with other known species and 7 are specifically indeterminable. As shown in the accompanying table, 17 species are marked with an asterisk. These species are the most common and characteristic plants of the Hsiangchi Series in Western Hupei. The Jurassic coal-and Plant-bearing formation in Szechuan is certainly equivalent to that of Western Hupei, there are no facts that are opposed to the assumption of a similar age.
