The Neogene and Quaternary deposits in Bohai Sea region, up to 3 000-4 000m in thickness, unconformably overlying the old deposits, are divided in ascending order into three formation, namely Guantao, Minghuazheng and Pingyuan Formation.
In accordance with the concept of organ genus and species, about 137 genera 300 species of palynomorphs, including 2 new genera and 38 new species are described in the Chinese text.
