【Introduction】

  This volume is divided into six parts including twenty eight chapters and the introduction and conclusion. The first part is about stratigraphy; the second part delves into sedimentary rocks and sedimentation; the third part considers the magmatic rocks and magmatism; the fourth part deals with the metamorphic rocks and metamorphism; the fifth part is concerned with geological structure and the sixth part involves geological history.
