This book summarize the theories of continental hydrocarbon reservoirs
in China. It comprises three parts, 16 chapters. The first part mainly
discusses the depositional characteristics, sequences and models of the
Meso-Cenozoic continental basins of China. Combined with the study of
structural evolution, the continental basin type, deposition environment
and systems are analyzed, and the lower Tertiary sequences in the Bohai
Bay of eastern China and the Jurassic sequence in the Turpan-Hami Basin
of western China are also studied . The second part deals with the diagenetic
evolutionary sequence and model for continental clastic reservoirs in
China. Considering the distri- bution of the continental hydrocarbon reservoirs,
the diagenetic stage, sequence and model of reservoirs are theoretically
concluded, and the origins and controlling factors of original and secondary
pores of reservoirs are also discussed. The third part systematically
studies the heterogeneity of a variety of reservoir that were formed in
different deposition environments in China.
