【Abstract】
The diversity of pteridophytes resource in China was introduced from the aspects of geographical distribution and geographical composition． The pteridophytes of China call be classified into six ecological types：Terrestrial ptefidophytes，Epiphytic pteridophytes，Tree ptefidoph” es，Vine ptefidophytes，Aquatic pteridophytes and Rock pteridophytes according to their habit of growth．The ornamental characteristics of pteridophytes wen analyzed．The application mode was put forward．According tO the status of landscape use of pteridophytes．the apphcation prospect of pteridophytes in China was described．
