新疆1:25万伯力克幅(144C001003)区域地质调查,系国土资源部国土发(1999)509号文(任务书编号:0100161075)下达陕西省地质调查院的国土资源大调查项目。从苏巴什蛇绿岩带中解体出来的震旦纪—寒武纪柳什塔格玄武岩具洋岛性质,说明存在一个始于震旦纪的原特提斯(秦—祁—昆)大洋。该大洋于奥陶纪开始向北俯冲消减,使柳什塔格洋岛拼贴于西昆仑地块,并发生大量花岗质岩浆侵入。
继承于原特提斯的晚古生代古特提斯洋进一步向北俯冲,形成沟—弧—盆构造体制,俯冲带堆积了二叠系黄羊岭岩群复理石;岛弧上形成石炭系阿拉勒塔什群钙碱性火山岩和火山沉积岩;弧后盆地扩张产生苏巴什小洋盆。中二叠世末,这种构造体制结束,发生弧陆碰撞,碰撞期后沉积了三叠系阿他木帕下组磨拉石建造。晚二叠世到三叠世残留的特提斯洋不再扩张,残留盆地被大量陆源碎屑充填(巴颜喀拉山群)的同时由于冈瓦纳大陆裂离作用的挤压而被动俯冲,洋壳携带的巴颜喀拉山群在深部熔融,形成区内规模最大的晚三叠世—侏罗纪花岗岩带,同时发生斑岩型铜矿化。这一作用一直持续到新生代,形成大致围绕巴颜喀拉山群的深源火山喷发。
