The account of each species contains information on status morphology, distribution, ecology and biological features, protection value(scientific interest and economic significance), conservation measures and cultivation. In addition, Chinese names, Latin names, detailed distribution maps and photographs are also provided. The color photographs include those of flower spurs or fruit spurs, individual plants, habitats or communities. Over 200 scientists and technicians of 63 research institutions and universities conducted the field work, collected information and supplied photographs for this work This book is of importance for scientists and technicians who work on plant conservation, germplarm preservation, biology, forestry, agriculture and horticulture.
