A Catalogue of Vascular Plant Type Specimens from East China (1701-2020)《华东维管植物模式标本汇编（1701-2020）》第一次对华东地区发表的新分类群和模式标本进行了考证和梳理，作者通过查阅工具书和网络数据库，获取原始文献，结合采集史，整理模式标本，解决历史疑难，考证了模式标本类别（特别是后选模式）、采集地和采集人，并给出了中文地名和人名，单独列出了对采集地存疑和误判为华东地区的模式标本。全书采用了最新的分类系统，将是《华东植物志》和相关省级植物志等编研的重要参考资料，也为全国民国时期及之前的植物模式标本信息的收集整编提供了资料和样例。
