The Species Found Firstly in Dinghushan-Fungi and Plants鼎湖山自然保护区建立于1956年，是我国个自然保护区，也是我国首批联合国教科文组织“人与生物圈计划”的世界生物圈保护区，1998年晋级为自然保护区。鼎湖山的自然地理气候环境和的保护历史，孕育了鼎湖山自然保护区丰富的生物多样性，使之成为开展分类学调查和研究的区域。本书是一本介绍以采自鼎湖山自然保护区的模式标本命名物种的专著，共涵盖物种135种(含种以下分类单位)，其中真菌界2门6纲15目33科48属89种，植物界3门4纲目30科40属46种。物种信括形态特征、生境、模式标本信息和相关图片等。
