The Southern Shaanxi-Northwest Sichuan area is one of the Well-known areas of the Silurian System in China; it has been studied from the stratigraphic and palaeontologic point of view for about forth years. A large number of graptolites were collected from Zhongliansi, Nanzheng (Nancheng) County in S Shaanxi by Prof. Y. H. Lu in 1943; from Qiaotin, Nanjing County in NW Sichuan by Drs. Cao Ruiji, Liu Diyoung and the Writer in 1961, from Modaoya, Guanyuan County in NW Sichuan, and from Dazhuba, Cuijiangou, Wangjiawan, and Yushitan, Ningqiang County in S Shaanxi by Drs. Yu Changmin, Liu Diyong, Wang Jungeng, Li Weinong and the writer in 1967, respectively. The Silurian graptolites described in the present paper include 114 species and subspecies of which 17 species and subspecies are new.
