During the investigation and studies, there are 26 collecting posts having been set up from the 185th Regiment nearby the national bordr to the up reach of the source and course of the river. Along these posts, the investigation in big eycle were made twice and a fixed collecting station in the major fishing area around the 185th Regiment established. The full way of the investigating travel is 10500km long, during which, we have collected many data concerining the hydrology and physicochemistry of waters, over 100 bottles of plankton, over 20 bottles benthonic organism samples, and about 5000 pieces of fishery specimens, made th statistics of fish catch, measured 2180 large-sized economic fishes weighing up to 1500kg, dissected about 2000 fishes, determined 569 pieces of fishe shapes, and also collected a large quantity of fish scales for identifying their ages. In order to put forward the scientific foundation to develop the prospect of fishery production, we have made a scientific evaluation of the fishery resources and fish bait organism.
