本书为“中国植物病理学会第九届全国会员代表大会暨2010年学术年会”论文集结。本次大会共收到论文438篇，依据接收论文所涉及的领域可大致分为：大会报告论文摘要16篇，真菌和真菌病害140篇，原核生物及其病害45篇，病毒及病毒病害83篇，线虫及线虫病害17篇，植物抗病性42篇，预测预报与病害综合防治18篇，生物防治56篇，种子病理与杀菌剂21篇。这些论文基本上反映了我国植物病理学的人力资源分布、研究领域、研究水平和最新进展。
