This edition contains two part: Amphibia and Reptilia .From 1980 to 1984 ,and investigation on the Reptilia and Amphibia in 54 counties of Liaoning was made. More than 2000 specimens were got. there are 13 species of amphibian belong to 8 genera of 6 families of 2 orders ;28 species and subspecies of reptilia belong to 16 genera of 9 families of 3 orders. Among the 6 species and subspecies 5 new records and 1 new species were discovered ,as follows: Bufo stejnegeri Schmidt, Eyneces xanthi Guenther, Scincelle septentrionalis Schmidt ,S. huanrensis* Zhao et Huang, Elaphe mandarina (Cantor),E.schrenckii (Strauch).There systemtic descriptions of each species and subspecies ,including keys to the indentification in this book. Most materials about ecology, distribution, zoogeography and economic value come from the new available field and laboratory data, there are 89 line-drawing, 52 tables and 18 colour palates in this book .
