This book describes 120 species of grasshoppers collected from Gansu. The taxonomic system adopt to Yin Xianchu’s system, the 120 species belonging to 3 superfamilies, 7 families, 18 subfamilies and 58 genera, among them, 5 species of grasshoppers and described as new to science.

The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Shaanxi Normal University.
