This book contains the results research and practice of Natural gas geology of China in Last 15 years. On the basis of classification of organic genetic gas and inorganic genetic gas, the classification and research of organic genetic gas are emphasized in this book. A suite of natural gas distinguishing methods and indices with high accuracy are put forward, based on the study of components, carbon, hydrogen, helium and argon isotopic composition, and lighter hydrocarbon geochemistry of Chinese natural gases. Types and distribution of Chinese gas source rocks, reservoirs and cap formations are discussed in detail, in combination with the study of migrating mechanism, accumulating and reservoir forming laws, the distribution of natural gas in China and the forming conditions of large-medium scale gas fields are explained, and the prospects and exploring targets of natural gas in China are pointed out.
Five Chapters:
1.Geochemical Characteristics of Natural Gas;
2. Source Rock of Natural Gas;
3. Natural Gas Reservoir and Cap Rock;
4. Natural Gas Reservoir Forming Mechanism and Typical Models;
5. Natural Gas Distribution and Forming Conditions of Great-Medium Gas Fields of China
