This book series constitutes a most compreh -ensive summary on the geological data of mineral deposits in China obtained in the last decades. It covers all the important metallic and nonmetallic deposits, including 25 chapters which are to be contained in the five volumes. For each kind of ore, descriptions are made for all its types accrding to the newest classification schemes which are most suitable to China. One to several examples are given for each type. A brief discussion on metallogeny is attached to each kind of ore. The final chapter in the fifth volume gives a brief account to the mining industry and the understanding of mineral deposits in ancient China
