【Introduction】

This book is written by Professor Chen Jia-xu, deputy academic dean of department of Chinese Medicine Diagnostics at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. According to Professor Chen’s long-standing high academic and clinical practice, important and complicated content of this textbook are explained in comprehensive and understandable figures and tables. TCM principles have been listed in tables to associate them with concrete signs and symptoms as well as differentiation syndromes. Similarities between information and tables were put in parallel with simple format and common terminology in table format to increase understanding and comprehension.
