This book is about Historical Zoogeography, an emerging branch of science. It gives a introduction and overview to the subject, provided the basic concepts, the principles of research and the method used in the research. Based on the historical records, combing with the modern paleontology and animal specimens collected from various geographical field, a systemic study of the distribution and the changes during different historical period was done using selected representative animals, including endangered or the extinction of rare wild animals, Macaca, Rhinopithecus, Hylobatidae, Ailuropoda melanoleuca, panther tigris , Elephas maximus, Equus przewalskii, Equus hemionus, Rhinocerotidae, Camelus bactrianus, Moschidae, and Hydropotes inermis. The distribution maps and tables were compared on the ancient and the modern species of those animals.
