Each species has been given scientific name, diagnosis, morphological characters, ecology subspecies differentiation, geographic distribution and economic significance. There are 41 of the 138 species recorded for the first time in Guizhou Province, i.e. Murina leucogaster, eothenomysolitor, Apodemus draco, Prionodon pardicolar, Felis chaus, etc.
In this book, there are 31 color pictures and 24 distribution maps, marked with collecting localities. These maps are useful for the study of distribution of species.
